As master brewer and beer sommelier I invest a great deal of time and energy into my passion for our liquid gold. The beer that flows from my brewery doesn’t just taste good, it is also organic. But fine things come in small packages – I don’t believe in mass production when it comes to brewing.
If there is one memento that will sum up your visit to Franconia, it will be this: sitting back with a good beer after a busy day. And that’s exactly what our guests enjoy, whether they are Weigelshofen regulars, taking part in a training course or here on holiday. At the end of the day, we all enjoy the opportunity to relax.

Created to celebrate the brewery’s 150th anniversary in 1998. Just like my forefathers made it, it is a strongly hopped, unfiltered beer with a rich, dark colour.

Organic farming is a very particular form of agriculture. Our aim is to operate an eco-friendly, natural business that eschews all genetically modified ingredients and chemical or synthetic fertilisers and that takes a sustainable approach to cultivation. We use hops and malt from organic producers (Bioland) and German farms (certified to DE-ÖKO-006) for our organic country-style beer, Schwarzer Keller organic beer and organic weissbier.
Our small-batch, traditionally brewed organic beers can be purchased directly from us at our brewery gate. Come and visit us in Weigelshofen and use the opportunity to take a tour of our brewery too (by prior arrangement). I will be delighted to show you around my world of very special beers.
